Brush Lettering for Beginners – Where do I start?

I discovered brush lettering a year or so back. Then I took a class when I visited Malaysia at this wonderful store called Stikeriffic. Right then and there I fell in love with this craft. The supplies needed are so minimal, it's easy to do while travelling, it's easy to do in very little time. All it takes is some good quality paper, brush pens and worksheets you can get for free. After that it's all about practice. Practice as much as you can in whatever little pockets of time you can find.  For 10 minutes during your lunch break, sometime over the weekend, while you're travelling or while you're waiting at the doctor's office or any other office for that matter!

In this episode I wanted to share the basics of lettering with you and how I got started on my lettering journey. I am also sharing a few resources and tools that I have tried and I love. I'm sharing a few of the lessons I have learnt so that I give you a bit of a headstart as you decide whether or not this is the hobby for you. So without further ado let's get started!

Brush lettering can be used in so many ways, to address envelopes, to make headers for planners, in card making, scrapbooking and so much more. In this video I mention the free Tombow lettering worksheets - you can find them here: Download Lettering Sheets.

Make it stand out

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
