Turn Acrylic Skins into Jewelry

Here I am with another acrylic skins project and gift idea. I am so in love with the skin that was left over from my paint pours recently. I've already turned part of it into a little book and now am going to play with the rest and create some fun pendants.

The reason I make these videos is to share the exact process and everything that happens when I craft. In this project I did run into some problems and wanted to highlight those so you can avoid those mistakes. I used clear nail polish to seal my smaller pendants and thought that it would behave like resin when dried. For a few hours it looked OK but then the problems began. I started seeing lots of bubbles and some cracks came along a couple of days later. So I suggest you use resin or clear epoxy bubble like stickers that will fit in your gold pendants to finish your jewelry.

Here's the video

The larger bird I made and the larger bead I covered were both OK with the nail polish since I just painted it on and used a thin coat.
